The existing retaining wall in the Canteen area was highlighting dampness through the plaster finishes resulting in efflorescence and damage to the plaster. This was both unsightly and potentially harmful to the staff and children using the facility.
The chosen Sika Waterproofing system allowed reinstatement back to existing lines whilst providing a full barrier to the damp/ingress issue.
Preparation – Breaker Removal of Existing Plaster, Vacuum extracted grinding of exposed brickwork, Double Saw Cut at Floor return, Screed/Concrete Uplift on Floor return
System Build Up –   Substrate Priming – Sikadur 32
Joint Detailing – 200mm Sika Combiflex Bandage
Coatings -  3 Coat, 18mm Pre-Bagged Sika 1 Render system with 35mm Floor
Plaster Removal and Diamond Grind Prep
Foor Recess and WP Cover Internal Angle
Sikadur 32 Primed Wall
Combiflex Hypalon Joint
Finished Sika 1 Pre Bag Render
Epoxy Bonded Floor Return Infill
